Stamp Storage

Good evening all! Last summer I found videos by Jennifer McGuire on how she stores her cling stamps. I got inspired and thought it was a must that this needed to be done with my stamps. Here are the videos of hers that I watched to see how it was done:

And this is my version:

Divider size (made from folders) 5 1/2 x 7 3/4 and rounded corners

White cardstock insert size 5 3/8 x 7 1/4 for smaller stamp sets.

Divider size (made from folders) 7 1/2 x 10 1/4 and rounded corners

Type of stamps that work well in this bin is the longer sets from Inkadinkado, Tim Holtz, and Close To My Heart, which I just left them in there original case since it works great as is (see stamp set on the right above).

White cardstock insert size 6 x 8 3/4 for larger stamp sets.

I put the name of the stamp set and underneath is the initials of the company it is from, like this one is Clear Art Stamps (CAS).

Since I got a darker color of folders I got gold label paper to print on so I can read the sections. Also as you can see if there was a symbol available on the label maker I added it to dress it up a little.

My label maker and this helped to get a bigger one with a keyboard since I had so many stamp sets to do.

Supplies used:

• Small stamps (double sided bin) fridge bin from Bed Bath & Beyond
• Large stamps (single bin) fridge bin from Bed Bath & Beyond
• Small stamp storage sleeve from Simon Says Stamps or Avery Elle or Ellen Hutson
• Large stamp storage sleeve from Office Supply
• Label maker from Office Depot / Office Max  

Final thoughts, what is shown here are my everyday stamps and then I have two separate single bins for my Christmas stamps. When it came time to do my Christmas cards it made it so much easier to get in and out of the sleeves instead of the original packaging. Speaking of original packaging, I did keep those in a box just in case I might want to sell in the future. Also made a couple of comments earlier under the pictures to round the corners on the folders, that is must since these folders are plastic and can get pretty sharp corners when you cut them. All in all a good idea and glad to have it done and all organized.

Longmire TV Show: Deputy Moretti

I am a huge fan of the TV series Longmire. It use to be on TV but the channel it was on thought there wasn't enough audience. Well they were wrong and 6 million protested to bring it back. Netflix saw this and thank the lord they took on the show. Well last fall my brother ran into the lady who plays Deput Moretti, Katee Sackhoff. I asked if he would get an autograph for me and so he did. He said she was nice lady and didn't mind. She even kissed it which left lipstick and some of her makeup. So for Christmas he gave me a frame with pictures and the autograph napkin. I finally got a moment to put this together.

Mother's Day Screen Card

I decided to create a different card for my wonderful mother on Mother's day. So did some searching and came across a screen card. There are so many ways to create this card but the first place I saw was on Connie Stewart Youtube channel. click here for the screen card video. Good Friends Are Like Stars

Found a new online store to purchase my creative items; its called Simon Says Stamp . Bought some new stamp sets and tried one on this card. Stamp set is from Avery Elle called Written In the Stars . Boy are they some nice photopolymer stamps, nice clean lines when stamped. Another thing I tried is Glitter Dust which I found out on Jennifer McGuire Ink on Youtube, click here to see that video.

Its been a long time since I have blogged but it should hopefully change now.  I finally graduated from college and slowly getting the creating vibe back.  Me and my assistants have created a few things since we've been gone but couldn't find the time to post.  Speaking of assistants we lost Armani a little over a year ago to a tumor but we'll keep him on my blog to remember him by.

So moving on to today, I have been seeing some really neat Youtube videos lately and felt the urge to start trying the neat ideas to get me back into creating. This is from StampTV on their Youtube channel; "Mixing Embossing With Alcohol Markers". click here to see their video. I did mine a little different since I didn't have all the products StampTV had.

Here is my final project, added a nice gold simmer background paper. It was an easy simple card and so beautiful.

Bonanza Christmas Cards 2012

I made 40 Christmas cards for my friends on Boomers Bonanza website. This website is dedicated to the TV show Bonanza that aired on TV from 1959-1973. It starred Lorne Greene, Pernell Roberts, Dan Blocker, and Michael Landon. Fans from all over the world get together and talk about Bonanza. I really love the site and if you too like Bonanza, then click here and join us.

Stamped the trees, then stamped the snowflakes. The sign post is a die cut then I wrote on each one "Ponderosa Ranch".

Something new for me. Created this on Word on the computer. Cut my paper to 8 1/2 x 11 and hit print then cut to card size.

Christmas Cards 2012

I created 30 Christmas cards for friends and family. Here are a few I loved.

I used the Cricut Imagine to create this. Its 3D.

Stamp and colored with Copic markers.

Snowman is embossed and colored the scarf and hat with Copic markers.

Stamp image embossed and then colored in with Copic markers.

This was a quick card. Stamp image and embossed with glitter embossing powder.
