Elvis Presley Bag

This is not a scrapbooking project but it is something else I like to do. This is my Elvis Army days bag using my own idea of what I wanted and of course I used Elvis material. My mom's friend helped me make this and I even put it in the Kansas State Fair and won 3rd place.

Family Christmas Stockings

All hung with care.

For my dad...

my mom...

my brother...

and then me.
I thought this was a fun project. The stockings are like a wood material and I just painted the backs with a hunter green and then glued the paper items on. It is something I have never done before and might try a different shape next time.

Christmas Cards 2010

This is my second year making Christmas cards and so far its going good. I try to make every card different by doing different techniques, using stamps in different ways (embosing, color with color pencils, etc). This year I have started using Tim Holtz (which are amazing products) and so most of my cards are using his products.
This is only some. I have 20 made so far.

I used an embossing folder and then add ink to make it pop out.

I first embossed the snowflakes with embossing powders then used a snowman mask and sponged the blue ink and viola.

Mom's 2010 Birthday Card

Every year I make my wonderful and perfect mother a birthday card and she loves sunflowers. So I try to make sure sunflowers are included. Below is my first card that I made with Copic markers and if you could see this in person, the flowers really look good. The Copic markers make your cards look like they have even more depth and realistic. I have a lot to learn by adding shading and choosing the right colors to blend.

Expandable Card Box

I thought this was a cute idea to holder your cards that you have made or handmade cards you received from friends.
This is the outside.
This is the inside.

I found instructions from this website http://paperboutique.blogspot.com/2010/04/expandable-card-box.html There are easy instructions to follow and a video to watch how to make it if you run into trouble.

USA Clipboard

This is a clipboard that I painted and added stamped images. The front is a stamp of the pledge of allegiance. The back I punch out a star then used it as a painting template. ~KPA
